Thanks for looking in our window!

Suburban Harvest is an optimistic little market based on community, family and the idea that good food should be a walk or a bike ride away or at the most a short, short drive, if need be.

We believe that good food should come from good people that we all know, instead of faceless corporations.

We believe that we should know EXACTLY where our food comes from and what is in it.

And we believe that people generally shop for food when they are happy or when they want to be happy, and we’re pretty happy people, so that is right where we want to be- meeting happy people OR making people happy!

Sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it? So, come back when we are open or stop by when you pass while we are getting ready to open and say hi. We look forward to meeting you, and thanks again for looking in our window and at our website-

What the Cool Kids are Eating-

This weekend Beyond Butter!  HOLY MOLEY is it good, it's "Butter From Another Udder" and once you taste it you will never go back to plain toast or pasta or breadsticks or sauteed veggies- trust us! We only love the BEST! Come by this Saturday and ask for a bite on some Boule Bread and don't say we didn't warn you!- J&K

We were just thinking...

It really takes a lot to believe in local foods.  It isn’t a fad, it is a real, sustainable way to live and the benefits are so far reaching within the community.   We have come to know the bakers, the salsa makers, the pasta makers, the farmers, the millers, the tea makers, the granola bakers.  We never imagined the people that we would meet when we started this endeavor.  So in our never ending quest to “chew the right thing” we would like to highlight a few of our Michigan food producers and tell you a little bit about their stories.  As we say all of the time, it isn’t all about us…it’s about you and them, too!
